Condition Description

This euphonium has been fully tested and serviced as necessary by our technicians to ensure complete function and the best possible sound.

The mechanical condition is excellent:

The tuning slides have been cleaned, polished, and carefully fitted, creating a tight fit and a neat surface finish. They move smoothly and offer good resistance.

The valves have been physically and chemically cleaned, and their action is quick, easy and smooth. The pistons themselves are unmarked and in excellent condition.

The euphonium has been washed through to remove any internal dirt or deposits, and it blows very freely.

The cosmetic condition is good:

There is a single, small dent on the bottom bow (see photo 8), and there is a second dent on the bell flare (see photo 9).

The silver plating is worn through on the second-valve top cap and finger button (see photo 10).

There are some light surface scratches on the silver plate, but the overall plating condition is good.
