Paxman Series 4 French Horn F/Bb Full Double. Used, Good Condition

Paxman Series 4 F/Bb Full Double French Horn. Yellow brass, medium-large bore, clear lacquered. Mouthpipe water key. Movable thumb lever. Nickel silver valve casings. Adjustable finger hook. Detachable Bell. Ideal for Intermediate to Undergraduate levels of playing, offering continued high performance. This particular instrument has seen my playing through to my Undergraduate level ATCL Diploma. Great quality of sound. General cosmetic wear, and wear to the lacquer on the inside and outside of the bell, as well as underneath. French Horns only get better with age, and these instruments continue to tell a story as time goes on. Cosmetic wear has no effect on the sound. Very small denting on outer third valve slide (see image 8). I have been fortunate enough to take this Horn on several European orchestral tours, including to Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and it has taken part in performances in the Royal Festival Hall in London and St. Mary's Cathedral in Edinburgh. The instrument comes with a black soft backpack case, accommodating for its detachable bell, with a sheet music compartment at the back. A mouthpiece is not included, but is negotiable.
