Hohner Double Ray Black Dot Button Accordion tuned in B/C

Lovely used Hohner Black Dot tuned in B/C (Reed blocks are marked in the German H/C but it's B/C) complete with good quality padded bag which protects the accordion well and easy to carry.

The Hohner Black Dot Double Ray is perhaps the most popular and iconic beginner accordion to have ever graced the world of traditional Irish music.

In Ireland, the most popular tuning for button accordions is usually B/C.  This simply means that the outer row of buttons is in the key of B, and the inner row is in C.

This is a well used instrument, as they should be, so it does have signs or wear but only surface scuffs etc and signs of age on the outer case and nothing that affects the playability.

It sounds to be well in tune and all keys work fine, the bellows are in good condition with good compression and no leaks.

The reed valves all appear to be in good condition, some were replaced and there are no ghost notes.

This would be a lovely instrument for anyone considering learning during these Covid lockdowns.

It's a lovely sized instrument to start with and will see you well into progressing and beyond.
