This German/Bohemian double bass made some time in the early 1930s. It's not a Rubner but it's very similar in style, most likely from a workshop in the same area as Rubner's. Its unusual body size and particularly slender neck make it really playable, while it has a huge amount of bass and volume. Measurements are:
Upper bouts - 48cm
Lower - 60
Ribs - 19.5
Back - 107
Scale length - 101 (although that's with the bridge slightly below the F notches which is how I've always played it/how my luthier sets it up)
It's currently set up with an adjustable bridge, some fairly light steel jazz strings, and it has a Bassbalsereit pickup fitted. As you can see from the images it has been damaged and repaired a couple of times but it's generally in great condition for its age.
I'm selling it because I have another one that I play more regularly and this one isn't getting played enough to justify keeping it.
If you want to try it first this can be arranged if you can come to me in Margate.
This is without case or bow, and collection only from Margate.
If you have any questions please ask, I'll try to answer if I can. I'm open to reasonable offers.
Lastly, this is Essiet Okon Essiet playing the bass when he borrowed it to play with The Cookers in London last May. Enjoy!

Or you can hear it alone on this track of mine, a song for solo double bass and voice
