German violin from mid twentieth century. New set up.

Elida Violins offer this unlabelled, well flamed violin from the mid twentieth century.  If you want four adjusters that is no problem and no extra, just say.  It has  rosewood fittings including new pegs, tailpiece, chinrest, correctly adjusted bridge and soundpost, Evah Pirazzi strings, one adjuster (you can have four if preferred, just say).

In the interests of full transparency: the auction house this came from, Gardiner Houlgate, is a specialist musical instruments auctioneer and they said this was mid twentieth century German.  However the luthier who did the set up says it is Romanian from the 70s or 80s - but finer than most Romanian instruments.  Take your pick.  At this price point you are looking for an instrument to play, not an investment!

This violin is not as dark as it looks in some of the pictures.  It is on the dark side of mid brown.  The two professional pictures were taken at the auction house before set up but also before cleaning!  The two pictures showing the blue case were taken as soon as it got here, before set up.
