This is an Eastman EFH-520 full double French horn. It plays in F normally, and in Bb when the fourth valve is depressed (the standard arrangement for double horns).
This instrument would be an excellent choice for an advancing student (around Grade 5 level or above) upgrading from a basic single or half-double horn. The EFH-520 plays beautifully, and would easily see a player through Grade 8, but this used item is available at a very competitive price: a double horn would normally be at least £3000 brand-new. The current price for this model (or its replacement) is around £2,400.
The instrument is supplied in its Eastman hard case, in full working order and good cosmetic condition. This case has a rugged fiberglass construction and thick internal padding, so it should provide excellent protection for the horn.
Please note that no mouthpiece is included in the listing; however, we usually stock a wide selection of suitable mouthpieces should you wish to purchase one.
