CC Travel Tuba (Tornister Tuba) with hard case

This instrument is in fabulous condition. It's got a lovely tone and it annoys the neighbours a lot less than my sousaphone!

I rarely play it these days, it has no dents or scratches. The valves and slides are all moving fine.

It comes with case and mouthpiece (which I never used as it isn't that great).

The case has some slight scuffs on it but is in great condition.

It's a great little instrument and wish I could hang onto it!

This superb CC travel tuba 'Mighty Gnome' is a tornister tuba design exclusive to the Wessex Tubas range. This is developed from our 'MIGHTY MIDGET' and plays just as well - providing a powerful, mini tuba for the CC tuba player. The original purpose of this type of tuba was to make a portable tuba for military bands in the days before motorised transport, and as such although so small it is designed to play like a true tuba and is suitable to play as bass with a brass, wind, or jazz band. This we have trialled ourselves and found to be the case with good feedback. In the modern age this mini tuba has many uses such as;

Travel tuba (small enough in a gig bag to fly as cabin luggage)
Practice tuba, particularly for those that live in a flat/apartment with limited space
