Amati AHR-321S French Horn in F 3 valve - Silver Plated (very good condition)

Unlike almost all other beginners’ French horns, this instrument is made in Europe rather than China. As a result, it is significantly better-quality than its competitors, and would give any new player a great start to their musical career.

Please note that no mouthpiece is included in the listing; however, we usually stock a wide selection of suitable mouthpieces should you wish to purchase one.

Condition Description

This horn has been fully tested and serviced as necessary by our technicians to ensure complete function and the best possible sound.

The mechanical condition is excellent:

The tuning slides have been cleaned and polished to give a neat surface finish with only a few cosmetic marks. They fit tightly, move smoothly and offer good resistance.

The valves have been physically and chemically cleaned, and their action is quick, easy and smooth. The pistons themselves are unmarked and in excellent condition.

The cosmetic condition is very good:

There is a single small dent on the bell flare (see photo 9). There are no other dents on the horn.

There are no significant scratches on the horn, but there are some tiny, fine marks scattered across the plating, as happens to all silver plate after being polished a few times.

The overall appearance of the instrument is very presentable.
